You know that feeling you get when someone tells you that the book you just finished (and loved) is about to become a TV show or a movie? Yes,
feeling. Well, what if we told you that you have just found your brand new home for all things literature and entertainment?
Netflix Book Club.
As someone who has starred in a successful book adaptation on Netflix, I know there is
that happens between the page and the screen. Now, as the host of this brand new club, I’m so excited to bring you an ever-evolving,
of newly adapted books that you will then get to watch on Netflix soon after. You’ll also be able to explore the literature behind films and shows you’ve already watched and maybe didn’t even know started as words on a page.
Orange is the New Black
, we’re looking at you.
Join us as we dive deep into the trenches of the stories that we can’t stop thinking about! Will the new adaptation stick to the ending? Who would be a good fit to play the protagonists? Will new characters be added, and will they work with the storyline? Let’s talk about it!
But don’t get it twisted:
This is not your average book club.
No homework, no obligations, and
no have-tos. Whether you’ve already finished the book or are waiting to read it once you’ve watched it first, that’s up to you! We repeat:
There is no wrong answer.
We’re here for your entertainment, no matter what shape that takes.
For the avid readers, the dedicated watchers, and the endlessly curious, get ready to turn the page.
We want to talk about the book just as much as you, which is why we’ve teamed up with Starbucks to bring you a new social series,
But Have You Read the Book?
Featuring host Uzo Aduba, we’ll invite the stars and storytellers behind our latest book-to-screen adaptations to sit down for candid conversations over coffee. We’ll dive into the depths of how beloved characters, themes, and stories are brought to life on the page and on screen.
By hosting these conversations, Starbucks celebrates the curiosity and passion that bring us together and connect us to the stories we love.”
